14 innovative software solutions that aim to improve diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at work
Before we started Kollektiv MFG and before the idea of Calvah emerged, we just had the strong belief that technology can be used to improve diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at work. Technology deeply shapes our workflows and therefore our behaviors. Technology can be very helpful to improve productivity, but it also shapes the way we interact with each other. With great collaboration comes great success, and technology has shaped the way we collaborate with each other at work over the years. On the flipside, with the rise of machine learning and biased training data, we also learned how discrimination and inequality can be ingrained in technology.
While building Kollektiv MFG, we researched what kind of solutions already exist to specifically improve diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at work and have since then created a list that we’d like to share with the community as they inspired us to create Calvah.
We’re sharing solutions in four different categories
- HIRING: Software for unbiased hiring and more DE&I in the hiring and employer branding processes.
- DIVERSITY ANALYTICS: Data driven software to analyze an organization’s team culture or structural inequalities, which often also provide next steps if the data suggests inequalities.
- DAILY PROCESSES: Software that supports the adoption of DE&I methods on a day by day basis
We want to keep this list alive, so please reach out for additional solutions we haven’t discovered yet.
